“The Rocks” The rocks on the beach at Bingie Bingie Point in the Eurobodalla National Park on the New South Wales coast comprise two igneous rock types. The lighter grey rocks contain a magnetic fabric called tonalite, the darker ones are gabroic diorite, they are collectively known as the Bingie Bingie suite.
These rocks were formed from a volcanic eruption which cooled on the surface around 400 million years ago.
The area, renowned for its scenic beauty, is a favored holiday destination.
