Poppies in Rain

Poppies are so delicate. They only bloom for a short time and then lose their petals. To see them in the rain is tormoil… yet they manage to hold on to their petals.

Watercolour on rice paper. 38 x 31 framed in black with a white mat. No Glass so you can see the intricate folds of the thin rice paper. The art work is sprayed with Micador matte spray on both sides and the front is protected with Dorland’s paste wax to preserve it. Mounted on canvas board.
