Poppies are so delightful and delicate, a perfect subject for watercolors. Here I’ve used negative painting to emphasize the subjects by allowing them to emerge from the background. The painting has been sealed with matt spray and coated with two coats of Dorlan’s wax to preserve it.
Watercolour on Arches 140 lbs / 300 gsm paper.
